Here is a neat little utility - MSCONFIG for Windows 2000. It is not exactly a security update, but it will be included in the next Windows 2000 Update Pack. This is from Windows XP and it works perfectly fine with Windows 2000.
Today's update to an update involves Internet Explorer 6 SP1. Even if you do not use this browser, it is recommended that you get this update. This update involves fixing the buffers that can cause IE6 and the IE6 Engine to crash. It is a problem with some of the IE6 SP1 code. Users of IE6 SP2 / SP3 on Windows XP are not affected if they installed the official Microsoft Update. After the update is applied, the code will be fixed.
To download the update for Windows 2000, click here. It replaces the old version (v4) of this patch from the last blog post. Just install right over the old one - no uninstalling needed.
In other notes, direct linking will not work so we have mirrored the security updates to Google Docs.
